About the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC)

The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at KIET fosters a dynamic ecosystem for high-impact research, innovation, and industry partnerships.

KIET, chartered by the Government of Sindh in 2000, serves over 4,000 students and 9,000+ alumni through its three colleges: Engineering, Management Sciences, and Computing & College of Computing and Information Systems.

ORIC is building a vibrant ecosystem to transform research into real-world impact.

A Thriving Research Environment

With a team of 27+ PhD-qualified faculty members and growing research collaborations, KIET’s research culture continues to flourish. Numerous research projects have recently been funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), reinforcing our national relevance.

Our programs

Management

Research in the College of Management Sciences emphasizes real-world business innovation through areas like Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Management, contributing to both academic and industry growth.

Computer Science

The College of Computing and Information Systems focuses on emerging technologies such as Cloud & Grid Computing, Data Science, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and the Internet of Things (IoT), addressing modern digital challenges.

Engineering

KIET’s College of Engineering conducts cutting-edge research in Intelligent Robotics, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Smart Networks, Electronics, and Aerodynamics. These areas are driven by advanced technologies and led by experienced PhD faculty
