USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN BUSINESS PROCESS IN PAKISTANI AND MULTINATIONAL PHARMACEUTICALS IN KORANGI

Abstract

This study presents an analysis of IT use and Business Processes (BP) in Korangi pharmas.Information system usage and manufacturing performance are moderately associated within the sample. There is little difference in the utilization of IT between the multinational and Pakistani firms. The main deficiency of utilization are in decision support systems and external integration functions. Suggestions are presented for increasing effectiveness of IT use in business process.
