Abstract

Jagannath Textile Company, situated in Coimbatore has taken a unique place in the industry always advancing towards the winning edge. The company's and vision are built on two principles- "Commitment and Discipline". It believes that through the valuable contribution of their employees and the recognition of their efforts, any level of performance can be achieved. The company strives to create an environment within the organization that allows all employees to feel genuine sense of accomplishment. Effective communication has been used as a tool by the company for ensuring transparency, building employee trust, incorporating changes to corporate strategy, regulating the flow of information, reaching employees appropriately, measuring the effectiveness of their internal communication network and also to maximize the contribution of front-line Managers. The organization chooses the right communications channel for the task at hand and encourages two-way communication during the day to day affairs. Transparency, fairness, loyalty, recognition, respect, rewards and employee trust are inextricably linked with their corporate strategy. It focuses on strategies for modifying employee attitude and behavior for building a harmonized over-arching strategic communications plans. Several latest innovative communication techniques like intranet, print, e-mail, video, face-to-face etc. have been adopted to improve their bottom line even during unprecedented situations. Some common obstacles are managed smoothly without any friction in the employer-employee relationship. A good understanding between the employer and employee has been maintained with sustainable rapport through their excellent communication plan.
