Internship program offers students a real life experience of a professional industry environment. Internship are an integral part of the academic curriculum and provide exposure of the working environment of local and multinational organizations during studies. Internship provide opportunities to establish professional relationship in the industry that later help the students in promptly getting jobs on graduation. To meet the high expectations of the industry regarding English proficiency of the interns, passing of English proficiency test is necessary to become eligible for internship placement.

Internship is a highly structured program of KIET and core function of Corporate Relations Department to prepare students for Internship and to arrange Internship for students of all Colleges and all Campuses. Internship program offers students a real life experience of a professional industry environment. Internship is an integral part of the academic curriculum and provides exposure of the working environment of local and multinational organizations during studies. Internship provides opportunities to establish professional relationship in the industry that later helps the students in promptly getting jobs on graduation or during Internship. Each year hundreds of students are trained and sent for Internship in national and multinational organizations. Pre-Internship training sessions are mandatory for students in which experts from industry are invited to teach students how to become an integral part of organization during internship, how to impress organization, how to communicate with their supervisors so the objective of getting a job during Internship may be achieved.

Internship Rules
Follow the rules
- Student can take only ONE course / project during evening at city along with internship.
- Student must have completed Personal Skill Development course. This is pre-requisite for internship.
- M. Shahbaz Hussain is the point of contact for internship at Corporate Relations.
- Students can arrange internships on their own with the approval of Corporate Relations. Internship done without approval of Corporate Department will not be accepted.
- Applications received after due date will not be processed and will be deferred till the next semester.
- Students cannot proceed on internship until written approval has been given by Manager Corporate Relations and fee has been paid.
- Once a student has been assigned an internship by Corporate Relations, it will be considered as final. Refusal to join internship will result in cancellation & forfeiture of fee.
- Internship Certificate and Evaluation Form (from Internship Organization) and Internship Report (by the Internee) must be submitted within one month of completion of internship.

Industry Visits
As part of the curriculum of Engineering, Management Sciences and Computer Sciences students, industrial visits are arranged every semester to provide them with an insight regarding internal working of companies and an opportunity to interact with the industry professionals and industry environment.
International Tours
Corporate Relations Department arranges International Tour every year in order to meet the following objectives: To give students international exposure and to provide them a platform to understand international educational environment. To broaden the student’s horizon & global cultural awareness through interaction with the professional experts. To give students an opportunity to relate the classroom learning to the real world situation. Supplement classroom academic programme with field visits & career focused itinerary. Relevance/Importance of having a higher education from abroad.

TURKEY TOUR 2019

TURKEY TOUR 2017
A group of 17 students along with the staff members visited Turkey from 9-16 January 2019. During tour, Istanbul, Bursa and Izmit were explored. Group of students led by Mr. Farhan Farhat, Head Corporate Relations Department visited Altinbas University, Istanbul where they were elaborated about study requirements and opportunities at Altinbas University. KIET and Altinbas University agreed to collaborate for joint research, projects, faculty and student exchange, joint workshops and seminars etc.
A group of 20 people including students, their families and KIET officials visited Turkey from 22-29 September 2017. During the tour, three cities were explored including Istanbul, Bursa and Shiley Aqua. The main attractions of the trip were Bosphorus Bridge, Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Taksim Square and Galata Tower, Princess Island.
