Q1. How can I apply for admission at KIET?
Applicants can apply through the Online Admissions Portal by creating an account and submitting the online application form. Assistance is also available at KIET admission offices.
Q2. What documents are required during the admission process?
Applicants are required to upload a recent photograph and scan copies of the required academic documents. The list of required documents is available within the online application form for each program.
Q3. Can I submit my application if some documents are missing?
Yes. Applications may proceed by selecting the “Skip” option. However, all required documents must be submitted before final enrollment.
Q4. Is there an application processing fee? How can it be paid?
Yes. After submitting the online application, applicants can download the challan form and deposit the processing fee at any HBL branch. The fee can also be paid in cash at KIET Admissions Offices, via Bank Draft, or through approved online payment methods. Proof of payment must be shared as instructed.
Q5. Can I apply if my result is awaited?
Yes. Applicants with awaited results may apply by submitting a Hope Certificate / Undertaking, duly attested by their institution. Private candidates must submit the undertaking on stamp paper signed by their parent or guardian.
Admission Test & Interview
Q6. Is an admission test mandatory?
Yes. Applicants are required to appear in the KIET Admission Test, which is computer-based and consists of MCQs in multiple sections.
Q7. Is the admission test syllabus available?
The test structure and sections are outlined in the Sample Test Paper, which is shared with applicants prior to the test.
Q8. Is there any written or essay components in the admission test?
Yes. Where applicable, the essay or written section is conducted in writing and is separate from the computer-based MCQs.
Q9. Is an interview required for admission?
Interviews are conducted for most undergraduate programs. However, candidates applying to certain programs may be exempted from interviews, as notified by the Admissions Office.
Q10. Can admission be granted on the basis of NTS?
NTS is not compulsory. However, for certain programs, entrance test requirements may be adjusted as per university policy.
Eligibility & Academic Background
Q11. Can I apply on the basis of O-Level / A-Level qualifications?
Yes. Applicants with O-Level / A-Level qualifications must submit IBCC Equivalence Certificates. Grade sheets alone are not sufficient.
Q12. What happens if I do not meet the eligibility criteria?
Admission is granted strictly on HEC and KIET eligibility criteria. Applicants who do not meet the criteria will not be considered for admission.
Facilities & Campus Life
Q13. Does KIET provide transport facilities?
Yes. KIET operates its own transport service on designated routes.
Q14. Does KIET offer hostel facilities?
No. KIET does not provide hostel facilities.
Q15. What are the admission office working days and timings?
Admission offices operate Monday to Saturday, 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM.
Fees & Registration
Q16. When is the fee payable after selection?
Selected candidates are required to deposit their fees within the specified deadline mentioned in the selection letter to confirm admission.
Q17. What happens if I fail to deposit the fee on time?
Failure to deposit fees within the given deadline may result in cancellation of the offer, and the seat may be offered to the next candidate on the merit list.

Q18. Can I change my program after applying?
Program change requests may be considered subject to eligibility, merit, and seat availability.
Q19. How will I be informed about test dates, results, and merit lists?
All updates are communicated through the KIET website, WhatsApp, email, and applicant portal.
