Marka-e-Haq: Alumni Tribute – Jashn-e-Azadi 2025

City Campus, Shahrah-e-Faisal – College of Management Sciences, KIET
As part of the Marka-e-Haq series of events across all KIET campuses, the Shahrah-e-Faisal Campus proudly hosted “Marka-e-Haq: Alumni Tribute – Jashn-e-Azadi 2025” — a heartfelt celebration of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and a glowing homage to the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of our armed forces.
In light of recent cross-border threats, the theme carried special weight this year, reflecting our collective gratitude towards those who safeguard our sovereignty. The program was filled with inspiring speeches, stirring national songs, captivating student performances, and moments of deep reflection on the price of freedom.
A unique highlight of this event was the presence of two of KIET’s distinguished alumni as Guest Speakers:
🔹 Mr. Asif Javed – Proprietor of Dantex Weaving, a seasoned leader in the textile weaving industry since 2004, and an influential figure in Pakistan’s export sector. Currently serving as Convenor of Bedwear at FPCCI (2024–2026) and Member of FPCCI’s Executive Committee, Mr. Javed has previously held key leadership roles, including Chairman of the Pakistan Bedwear Exporters Association (2016) and Senior Vice Chairman (2018).
🔹 Mr. Shahrukh Nadeem (aka BookBuddy) – A multi-faceted entrepreneur, educator, and reformist. As CEO of MyHCM and MyWater, Chief Learning Officer at Pitstop Learning, and founder of BookBuddy, he has impacted Pakistan’s HR digitization, sustainable development, and literacy movements. Author of the best-selling book Readistan, he continues to inspire thousands with his leadership, innovation, and social impact.
The event not only celebrated our national pride but also showcased the exceptional achievements of KIET graduates, reminding current students that they, too, can lead change in their chosen fields.
With patriotic fervour, alumni pride, and student enthusiasm, Marka-e-Haq: Alumni Tribute – Jashn-e-Azadi 2025 stood as a testament to KIET’s enduring commitment to nurturing leaders who serve the nation in diverse capacities — both in and beyond the battlefield.
