Fee Overview

Tuition Fee Per Credit Hour

The tuition fee at Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (KIET) is structured per credit hour, ensuring transparency and affordability. The fee varies by program and level of study, with additional charges applicable for student societies, IT services, and examination fees.

All fees are subject to revision as per HEC regulations and annual inflation. Students are advised to review the complete fee breakdown before enrollment.

• Security Deposit (Refundable): Rs 20,000/-
• An estimated 10% raise in tuition fee is expected annually as per inflation.

Important Information

Additional Charges & Policies

  • A morning program's student is required to pay Rs. 1,500/- per Regular semester and Rs. 750/- in Summer semester for Student Societies' activities, while evening program students pay Rs. 1,200/- and Rs. 600/- respectively.
  • Each student is required to pay Rs. 1,500/- per semester for IT Charges and Rs. 1,000/- per semester for Examination Fee.
  • Each student is required to pay Rs. 700/- per semester for copies of research work and publication journal by the Institute.
  • Internship/Project fees are charged per credit hour, whereas Rs. 38,000/- shall be charged for MS program thesis.
  • Security deposit is refundable only on termination/completion of the program.
  • Applicable convocation charges are to be paid towards the end of the program.
  • An estimated 10% raise in tuition fee is expected annually according to the inflation rate.
