Strengthening Academia–Industry Collaboration | KIET × Meta Frolic Labs

The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology (KIET), continues to foster meaningful academia–industry partnerships by connecting students with leading technology organizations and providing opportunities to gain practical industry exposure.

On 3 November 2026, students from the College of Computing & Information Sciences (CoCIS), KIET, visited Meta Frolic Labs (Pvt.) Ltd. as part of an industry engagement initiative facilitated by Mr. Usman Khan, Manager Industrial Liaison & Head of Final Year Projects, KIET. Ms. Noor Ul Ain also accompanied the students during the visit.

The visit provided students with valuable insights into the professional technology environment, organizational practices, industry workflows, and the skills and competencies required to thrive in today's rapidly evolving technology landscape. It also offered an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and better understand the practical application of their academic knowledge.

This engagement reflects KIET ORIC's ongoing commitment to strengthening university–industry linkages, promoting experiential learning, and creating opportunities for student development through industrial exposure, internships, employment, and future collaborative initiatives.

We sincerely thank Meta Frolic Labs and its CTO, Mr. Muhammad Kamil, for the warm hospitality, gracious welcome, and valuable support in making this visit a meaningful learning experience for KIET students.
