Strengthening Academia–Industry Collaboration | KIET × Encore Digital
The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology (KIET) continues to strengthen academia–industry linkages by creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect academic learning with real-world professional practices.
On 30 September 2026, students from the College of Computing & Information Sciences (CoCIS), KIET, visited Encore Digital as part of an industrial visit facilitated by Mr. Usman Khan, Manager University Linkages & Industrial Liaison, ORIC-KIET. Dr. Sohail Imran, Head of Department, BS Artificial Intelligence, also accompanied the students.
The visit provided students with valuable exposure to a professional technology-driven workplace, offering insights into corporate culture, industry practices, professional workflows, and the competencies required to succeed in the evolving technology sector.
This initiative reflects KIET ORIC's continued commitment to fostering industry–academia collaboration, experiential learning, professional development, and career readiness.
