MoU with Pakistan Stock Exchange

KIET and Pakistan Stock Exchange Sign MoU to Strengthen Faculty Development and Capital Market Research
Karachi | December 18, 2025
Under this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (KIET) and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) have agreed to jointly promote faculty development initiatives aimed at strengthening academic capacity and industry relevance. These initiatives include specialized training programs, workshops, seminars, and expert-led sessions focusing on capital market operations, financial analytics, investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks. Through these engagements, faculty members of the College of Management Sciences (CoMS), KIET, will be better positioned to align their teaching and research with contemporary market practices and evolving financial trends.
A major highlight of the agreement is the provision of access to Pakistan Stock Exchange data for academic and research purposes. Availability of PSX data will enable CoMS faculty to undertake rigorous empirical research in areas such as stock market behavior, volatility analysis, asset pricing, corporate finance, and macro-financial linkages. This collaboration is expected to significantly enhance the quality and volume of research output, peer-reviewed publications, and evidence-based insights relevant to Pakistan’s financial markets.
The MoU reflects KIET’s continued commitment to fostering a research-driven academic environment and strengthening industry linkages that add tangible value to faculty capacity building, student learning, and national-level financial research. Both institutions expressed confidence that this collaboration will contribute meaningfully to knowledge creation, professional development, and the advancement of capital market understanding in Pakistan.
